Itasha trend goes… industrial?
“Itasha” style cars have been the latest Japanese trend in automobile customization. These nice cars (ranging anywhere from tuner cars to high performance supercars) are given vinyl decals based on favorite and/or popular manga & anime characters and themes. At first they would only be seen on the racetrack when a company wants to advertise their anime, but now dressing up cars in these vinyl wraps has become widespread among the Japanese car enthusiasts. Now these vinyls are showing up on public buses, trains, limos, and even motorcycles!
And just when you think it couldn’t get any crazier, at this month’s Ita G Festa #5 gathering, someone showed up with an itasha tractor…

Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2.0 Highlights
When you can’t get out on the racetrack and rip those threads, then most likely you are at home playing racing games. If you are an avid car enthusiast then you probably already own Gran Turismo 5 for the PlayStation 3 console (or at least heard of it). A year after it has been released, the much-awaited patch 2.0 has been made available *FREE* for all PS3 users. This large update (1.1gb) features bug fixes and many improvements that fans have been asking for, as well as new content in preparation for upcoming DLC (downloadable content).
Gran Turismo 5: The Real Driving Simulator is the latest in the series of true-to-life car simulation games, only available on PS3. With over several hundred highly detailed cars, real world racetracks, and unbridled realism, GT5 puts the gamer into the driver’s seat of the greatest cars from this era. Congrats to Chris Forsberg!
This past weekend was teh final Formula Drift Event for 2011, Round 7: Title Fight! The championship came down the the wire with many outcomes possible depending on who who the event itself. SSR Wheels sponsored drive Chris Forsberg came into the event 4th overall in points and needed a strong finish to podium for the year. Not only did he podium for the event, he ended up taking third place overall for the year! on a new platform for 2011, this was a great acheivement. We’d like to say congratulations to Chris Forsberg and Chris Forseberg Racing for a great year!
On a side note, Chris also won Team Manager of the Year for Formula Drift. That could possibly be the first time for a Driver/Owner!
