Targa Trophy 06/21/14

Friday morning come along and I get a text from my buddy Paul about running in the Targa Trophy the next day. I already had plans but this was something I always wanted to do so I rescheduled them and gave the confirmation that I’m good to go. It was such a great experience and I want to thank Toyo Tires for extending the invite to participate in the event. Event started in Corona, ran down the 15 in through Wrightwood, Angeles National for Forest and then ended back up in Downtown LA. Along the way we had checkpoints and objectives that we had to complete which it fun yet nauseating for me as I was the navigator. They had an App that had directions and objectives and I was looking down while the car was maneuvering through the twisty roads of the roads we driving through, making me car sick and I think I even threw up in my mouth a few times. Here are some of the pictures.

Formula Drift 2014 – Round 4 Results

FD 2014 Round 4 Podium

This past weekend New Jersey Formula Drift fans were in full attendance at the Wall Speedway for the aptly-titled Round 4: The Gauntlet. SSR-sponsored driver Chris Forsberg secured yet another podium finish — this time it was second place. However Chris is still leading the season in overall points and is bound to be one of the top competitors for this year’s championship title. Keep up the great work!

Cars and Coffee Irvine 06/07/14

I don’t get to make it out to the Cars and Coffee events very often because there’s always some car show or event going on that I was was already planning to attend. That and it’s way earlier than I’d like to wake up on a Saturday morning if I don’t have to. I was able to attend one from a couple weeks ago and snapped some pictures along the way. I really wish I was able to attend last weekend’s since the FT-1 was there. But here’s what sums up Cars and Coffee in a few words to me: Caterham / Stock Corvettes / Old people doing ricer launches.

Of all the cars at C&C, these 4 cars were my favorite.

I grew up loving musclecars. I used to have a 70 Chevelle in red so this reminds me of that. This is a 68/69 though.

These Caterhams were everywhere. This Carbon Kevlar seat was pretty badass.

Which would you choose? I’ll take the Vette.

A closer look at the super concave GTV series wheels.

It is fairly common knowledge that a wider width and a lower offset will usually yield a more concave spoke structure, but to what degree? Today we will be checking out most concave of the concave GTV wheels, one from each model line.

First up is the GTV01, in the 18×10.5 +15 and +25 sizes.
