Quick stop at Rywire

Earlier this week I had a chance to stop by Rywire with my friend Steve. He needed to Drop off a plate that he had polished to it could be installed on his firewall. It was my first time there and ever since seeing his E-AT at Spocom earlier this year, I’ve been wanting to stop by and see the shop. I didn’t want to take too many pictures because I don’t know if the owners of the cars there would want pictures of their projects out on the web. But man, Ryan really knows his stuff and his attention to detail is crazy! When he was explaining things to me and Steve, I probably understood 15% of the terminology he was using. 🙂 Anywho, If anyone needs a harness done and done right, this is who you need to go see!

It’s a bit surprising for me when I stop to think and realize that 2004 was nine years ago. Now available for purchase are replacement Tanabe exhaust gaskets. We carry the common sizes ranging from 60mm to 80mm. Later on we’ll be offering more options for those who might need them. Keep in mind all Tanabe exhaust systems include the necessary hardware such as bolts and/or gaskets. These gaskets are more for those who may have lost or damaged a gasket. Please note that these gaskets are for use with Tanabe exhaust systems only. Manufacturers of other systems may not run the exact gasket sizing that we offer.

Multi Function Paddle System for 3rd generation Prius!

The OGS Multi Function Paddle System for the 3rd generation Prius replaces the cruise control lever with paddle levers that can be used for changing gears and operating the cruise control system. Here’s a quick look at what this product offers.

The purpose of the Multi Funtion Paddle System is to provide controls for gear selection and cruise control. This does not replace the standard shifter in the center console but it is a way for the driver to keep both hands on the wheel at all times. The MFPS is also able to toggle the cruise control system on/off and acceleration and deceleration accordingly. This product is compatible with the OEM shifter but it pairs well with the OGS IP Switch.

Included in the kit are all the necessary pieces that are to be installed to the Prius’ OEM steering wheel. No cutting or splicing is required, but we do recommend having a professional install this product because the airbag system may malfunction if the steps aren’t followed correctly.

Tanabe releases NF210 springs for 2012-2013 Mazda 3 SKYACTIV 5-door.

Tanabe has announced the addition of the 2012-2013 Mazda 3 5-door (SKYACTIV) application to the NF210 coil spring line. The NF210 series springs are engineered to meet or exceed OEM ride quality while providing a subtle reduction in ride height for an aggressive look. For this application, the ride height is lowered 1.25” in the front and 1.0” in the rear. Here are some detailed photos of the springs, the springs installed on a car, and the resulting ride height.

Wrong Fitment Fest 2013 Coverage

This past weekend Wrong Fitment Crew put together a meet held in Oceanside, California. Since it was a long weekend due to the Labor Day holiday, I was able to make time to make it out. If you aren’t familiar with WFC (Wrong Fitment Crew), then I’ll keep it simple by saying they’re a family of friends who share a similar passion in fitment and having fun. If you’ve never been to a WFC meet, it might be something for you to experience if cars and fitment are your sort of thing. At least once a year, fitment crews from around Southern, California unite to enjoy a day of bonding amongst friends. In a way it’s somewhat of a family reunion as some members actually make the trip out from other states.

Besides the fact that the heat was scorching, the meet was overall chill. Since most crews arrived in the early hours of the morning and the heat was extremely hot as stated before, not everyone stuck around til the end. I’m sure they also had to get back home, as it was the holiday weekend and the not everyone is from the Oceanside area. Either way, the vibe was laid back, the people are friendly, and in case you felt like showing your moves, there there was a DJ playing some jams. Check out the coverage below!
