So, I decided to take a little bit of extra time for this blog entry. It’s been a while since I’ve made anything worth calling “Over the Weekend.” So, here we go…
On Sunday, I joined Dai’s Drift Academy #4. The last one I went to was #2, and I missed #3 due to brokeness. Good thing I found spare change throughout my car. Change from car + change in hamper pants + leftover wallet dough = drift event entry fee. jk… I’m not really THAT broke. But… almost 😉 Anyway, here was my group’s little parking spot/area. Shortly after taking this photo, we put up the tent, just in time to block that hot hot sun. And yes, those are yellow stock S14 SE wheels on that car. :p
Drifting certainly does a number on your tires. Here’s one of my rears after about 10 minutes of driving. It didn’t “wear out” as much as it just…kinda… fell off. After this, I kinda bummed around until lunch time so I could get my tires changed while picking up some food. Eventually, 12:00pm was approaching…
… when THIS happened! LoL. Here’s my friend Rommel’s tire after a few good runs. Kinda flapped around and scratched up his brand new paint job like a bitter ex-girlfriend. I decided I’d be a cool dude and take this with me to the tire shop for dismounting while I got my used rear tires installed. … What? you expect me to drift on brand new tires? … That’s… a waste of tires. 😀
And so eventually, I ended up at the local tire shop, and I was the only one there. I figured there’d be more people from the event here… go figure — I guess everyone was busy eating lunch or something. So anyways, the guys got to work on my wheels. I like how the dude here prettymuch stands on top of my wheel like it’s cheap. You bastard! That’s a hard-to-find item you’re laying your boots on! Seriously, go and try to find another set of Altia N1 Wheels. I dares you!
After getting some tires put on, I headed back to El Toro to eat some tacos and finish up the event. No more pictures because I was too busy driving to be a photographer. :p
Another thing happened recently too. I got THIS in the mail! Remember a previous post I did about my NOT-legit “expired” registration ticket? Well, I beat it, and here’s my government paycheck. Suckasssss! 😀 Maybe this money can pay for the next track event I attend. But… realistically, it’s probably just going to go towards billssss… ahhhhh…. 🙁
