Battle Gear 2 Arcade Game — as seen from the chillout/mini-arcade area at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. Take me back to the days!… I used to play this game a lot when they had it at Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights, CA. One of the first “mountain drift” arcade games that required counter-steer and throttle control.
Speaking of drift, don’t forget to check out some of the fancy drift items at more-japan.com

Here are some pictures of the Tanabe Front Under Brace installed on a Subaru GRB STI done at Solid AutoWorks. This should reduce some chassis flex, don’t you think!?
Finally got my Koni Yellows for my FD Rx7 so I should be installing these and my Tanabe GF210 springs on my car this weekend. No I just need to get a Spash Short Boss so I can install my Nardi Steering wheel.

So, what’s the deal with this ridiculously hot weather. 90 degree weather in November? Did summer and fall decide to switch their calendar position? This doesn’t feel right now that I’m starting to hear Christmas being mentioned and hearing people talk about how hot it is at the same time… Weather… DO NOT WANT!
In case you haven’t heard, More-Japan is now offering StopTech Brakes. Stoptech offers high quality, balanced brake upgrades for most vehicle applications. They offer anything from rotors to full-blown Big Brake kits to make your track monster stop on a dime. Come to think of it, the rotors on my FD need to be swapped soon…

So, I randomly ended up at this Drum & Bass event in L.A. yesterday. Drum & Bass… for some reason, I had the wrong idea.
Isn’t this more like Jungle? I can’t believe fools dance to this sh*t. And every time between sets, there was some cool trance music, and I was like hot damn! Now that sounds pretty good! Then the DJ gets on, and it’s just a bass line with the same drum pattern … dum tss dum tss dum tss dum tss dummmmm!
That, coupled with the non-legible jungle MC’ing, and I was in headache mode.
So, alright, I don’t hate all drum & bass or jungle music. But here’s my main gripe with the genre. Let’s say you have a song, and it’s building up slowly… builds up more… and the synthesized melody starts to kick in.. little by little… more and more. And then you’re at the peak of the build-up. THEN THE BEAT DROPS AND THERE’S NO MORE SYNTH/PIANO. Where the hell did that go? It sounded so good, and now you just cut out the whole body of the melody.
Anyways, it was an interesting way to spend Halloween night. But, that’s probably the last time I go to a Drum & Bass event. It’s things like these that make ME want to be the DJ. Like, what is this stuff? Here, let me play you something good.
