Irwindale, CA – After a hard fought competition in the final hours of the Formula Drift 2014 championship season, SSR-sponsored driver Chris Forsberg managed to secure his seasonal points lead and won the season championship! This is Chris’ second Formula Drift championship win since the 2009 season. Armed with his new 370z setup on SSR GT-F forged monoblock wheels, Chris kept his 1st place standing since the first round in Long Beach, CA.

Made of 7075-T6 Cold Forged Aluminum, the spline type Lug nuts are a great match for your SSR wheels or any other set of aftermarket wheels that used a tapered seat. This year marked the 10 Year Anniversary for the Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) Event. As a first time show attendee for this event, I was excited just walking around the parking lot seeing all the show worthy classic cars catching my eye. Once I walked through the gates I was even more impressed. It’s not everyday you see so many pristine cars all parked together. What took me back the most was seeing at the Datsun’s that were being shown. When I was younger I remember seeing those makes still being driven around but now that the brand name is no longer around you appreciate seeing one up close and in person. Enough reminiscing, let’s get to the coverage!

Stopped by the West Coast Collective:One event last weekend in Corona. This event is thrown by the same people that bring you the famous Honda Meet that draws such a big crowd. JCCS was going on at the same time which I’m sure people were torn about which event to go to. I do know that many ended up going to both events. I was expecting it to be pretty hot but the weather was actually really pleasant. Here are a few snaps I took from the event.

Since it was a day off and I was heading to another event later in the day (JCCS), I figured I’d wake up a little earlier (4 in the morning) and make the trek out to Cars and Coffee in Irvine and get my days worth of car coverage. If you’ve never had the opportunity to stop by one of the weekly held Cars and Coffee meets and you’re up before the sun is, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make the trip out to one of these meets. Typically, owners bring out cars you can only imagine to see or lucky enough to see in a show room. No need to worry about breakfast, as they serve some goodies to add to the whole experience such as coffee, donuts, fruits, etc…because we all know what the most important meal of the day is!

I was invited by my friend Jeff to come check out 86Fest this past weekend. With Saturday being busy with the Sedan GTG event at the office and HIN the day before, I was pretty pooped. I still wanted to go check out the event since I missed last year’s. I was glad that the even was in Irwindale this year and not out in Fontana since that is further than most would like to drive. It started getting pretty hot pretty quick and I forgot to put sunblock so I took pictures and then sought refuge wherever I could find shade. Enjoy!
