It’s nice to see new innovations as our technologies advance. Panasonic developed a hair washing robot that has 24 fingers, 16 which are split between two arms and 8 for the back of the scalp, that automatically scan your head to determine the correct amount of pressure applied to the scalp when shampooing and washing hair. It can even recognize and memorize different head types. This was developed for hospitals and healthcare facilities where the workers cannot accommodate for all the patients that need to be washed.
Although the hair washing robot was made for the healthcare industry, it more likely to also end up in salons or even at home if it does the job right every time. Well, it’s just one step closer to a fully robotic society…
