Over the Weekend!!

Welcome to another presentation of…. (drum rolllllllllllllll) Over… the… WEEKEND!! This weekend was definitely a delicious one, and I’ll show you exactly what I mean by that. In order to commemorate my new workout routine, I thought I should balance things out by eating additional servings of delicious delicious meals and yummy snacks. You see, balance is key! 😉

Let us begin out journey at Toku Katsu Restaurant in Rowland Heights, CA. The owner is gutsy enough to open up a new restaurant in this crummy economic time. That alone is reason enough to try this place out! Here’s the Yellowpages.com link so you can eat there now! I’m not going to lie… the Katsu there is pretty awesome! Shown above (and below) is a photo of the Cheese Tonkatsu that I ordered. You cannot go wrong! But if you have a heart condition, I recommend you try a different dish (note the cheese content). That is, unless you wish to do a suicide of tastiness. If you’re not at work, you must visit the restaurant now! And if you ARE at work, you must visit Toku now!

Look at that cheezy goodness, spewing out from the porky caverns of glory. It is a meal fit for champions and commoners alike. Go there. Do it! Do it! Just do it! Do it! Please just do it! If you don’t visit, they’ll run out of money and have to close down. Then I won’t be able to get any cheezy tonkatsu 🙁

The next day, I went to Nijiya in Rowland Heights, CA to get some snacks. Look at this character… though he doesn’t quite look like a trustworthy fellow, rest assured, this guy makes some fantastic snacks! If you ever see this snack, try it! Do it! Do it! Just do it! Do it now! It tastes just like takoyaki! Yum! 😀

On Sunday, I went to The Citadel Outlet located in Commerce, CA. Through my search for some new shoes, I came across these “KOOOOL Kicks” at Reebok. Like… wow… i think these shoes were on sale for negative 20 dollars. That’s right, they pay you to take these out of their store. I mean, what kind of awesome guy or girl would sport these? You’ve got to love the Purple Drank a LOT! LoL :p

Here are the shoes that I did buy. Comfortable DC shoes, black with white stitches, real classy. ONLY 30 bucks! You cannot cannot cannot go wrong! 😀 And a bit of a sideline about DC shoes — the label says that they’re made in Vietnam. I wonder… if … they’ll ever start making aftermarket car parts in Vietnam. What do you think? 🙂 I’ve never really considered Vietnam as a place with a lot of manufacturing. So far, in the world of bootleg car parts, the places that come to mind are China, Taiwan, and the Philippines (sorta). I wonder when Vietnam will get into the mix. Also, DC shoes are mainly known as “skater shoes.” But Ken Block (DC guy) messes around with a Subaru WRX now… so I wonder if I could call these “Rally Shoes” or “Stunt Driving Shoes” since I don’t skate… I don’t wear my pants tight enough for that sort of thing. 😀

The next day, which happens to be today (Monday), G and I were at the local Mitsuwa when we spotted this mega gangster VW Beetle. Super Super Super Gangster props to whoever built this sweet ragtop. It’s been a really long time since I’ve seen a tuned up Beetle. The latest incarnation of VW’s Beetle is an abomination to the tight ride of the 60’s and 70’s. So, let’s not even consider that. But this here — this is what I’m talking about! It even had a lifted rear engine cover, a signature sign of someone rocking a big engine. 2000 cc? Maybe! Don’t forget, the classic VW Beetle, when tuned, is the king at light-to-light racing — the ruler of the streets. Only thing though… it could use some Porsche Alloy Wheels … or Some SSRs for that matter. 😀

So, anyways, we went to Mitsuwa for lunch, and we brought back… dun dun dun…. A LOT OF SNACKS!!!

The combined amount of money spent (from his purchases and mine) came out to about $29.00. Was it worth it!? Well, all I will say is that it’s about 3:00 PM, and I’m eating Coconut Pocky while writing this blog entry. 😀 Also, check this out…

^ Smoking……

^ Getting High……

^ Gettin’ crunk.

What kind of message are you trying to convey, Mitsuwa!!?? Tell me!! Tisk squared.
